Tuition Fees & Scholarships

Published founding-cohort fees for the ACLAS Bishkek BSc programs: what you pay, what it covers, and how scholarships reduce it.

ACLAS publishes one simple fee structure for all three BSc programs — Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Data Science. The figures below are the founding-cohort rates for the intake planned for September 2028, subject to completion of Ministry of Education licensure. Tuition is the same for every program, and no fee is charged for submitting an application of interest.

Tuition fees per academic year

Student categoryStandard tuitionWith the 25% Founding Scholars scholarship
International studentsUSD 2,800USD 2,100
Students resident in Kyrgyzstan & Central AsiaUSD 1,800USD 1,350

Fees are quoted in US dollars and payable in Kyrgyz som at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) exchange rate on the payment date. The exact scholarship amount for each student is confirmed in the offer letter.

What tuition includes — and what it does not

Tuition covers teaching, assessment, academic support and full access to the ACLAS digital learning platform and library resources.

Tuition does not cover housing, food, travel, visa fees or personal expenses — students budget for those separately. Because study is digital-first until on-site teaching begins with the founding cohort, students can start from home and plan any move to Bishkek with clear cost information.

Payment terms

Fees are payable in Kyrgyz som at the NBKR rate on the payment date, so the amount in som is set at the moment of payment rather than at enrolment.

Payment in instalments is available; the instalment schedule for each student is confirmed in the offer letter before any enrolment contract is signed. ACLAS does not ask applicants to pay tuition before the licensure milestones for enrolment are complete.

Scholarships

Founding Scholars — 25% for every founding-cohort admit

Every student admitted to the founding cohort receives the Founding Scholars scholarship automatically: 25% off standard tuition, reducing fees to USD 2,100 per year for international students and USD 1,350 for regional students. No separate scholarship application is needed.

Excellence awards — 50% for top applicants

A limited number of 50% excellence awards are available for the strongest applicants. Excellence awards are decided by the admissions committee based on the application as a whole — academic record, the mathematics assessment and the admissions interview — and are confirmed in the offer letter.

How ACLAS fees compare in Kyrgyzstan

Comparable English-taught bachelor’s programs at private universities in Kyrgyzstan typically range from about USD 2,200 to USD 4,300 per academic year. ACLAS founding-cohort tuition sits within that range before scholarships, and the 25% Founding Scholars scholarship brings the net fee for founding-cohort students below the typical range.

Tuition questions

In which currency do I pay tuition?

Tuition is quoted in US dollars but paid in Kyrgyz som, converted at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) rate on the payment date. The offer letter states the dollar fee and the payment procedure; no payment is requested before enrolment contracts are offered after licensure.

Does the Founding Scholars scholarship renew each year?

Yes. The 25% Founding Scholars scholarship applies for each year of the program, renewable subject to satisfactory academic progress. The 50% excellence awards are renewed on the same basis. The renewal conditions are stated in the offer letter.

What other costs should I budget for?

Tuition does not include housing, food, travel, visa fees or personal expenses. International students should also budget for document translation and certification, medical insurance where required, and travel to Bishkek if they relocate when on-site teaching begins.
